The walk continued into the industrial heartlands of the city, passing remnants and reminders of a formerly great steel industry (the 1947 steam hammer by Brightside Foundry & Engineering Ltd., erected as a monument on the site of Cammells East Forge on Savile Street East), a Victorian flooding disaster (the memorial near Lady's Bridge to the 250 or more people who lost their lives when Dale Dyke Dam broke and flooded the whole Don Valley), and fine restored industrial buildings (Aizlewood Mill, a restored 19th century flour mill on Nursery Street) .....
